Stay Home Reading Rush TBR

After having thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Reading Rush for the first time last year, I’m very excited for this special extra edition! I could definitely use the motivation and especially the distraction right now.

The event started today, so when you’re reading this, I’m probably making my way through the first book on my TBR. It ends on Sunday, and after that, I will share my full wrap-up.

I’ve chosen the books on my TBR based on the different challenges, and I’ll explain them below.

Read a Book With a House on the Cover

The first book I chose, is a book I’ve actually already read this year: The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. It’s one of my favourite books of the year so far, and I really want to listen to the audiobook, which is available on Scribd.

Read a Book in the Same Room the Whole Time

I wanted to go with a graphic novel for this challenge, because they’re quick reads. I still have to read the sequel to The Steel Prince by V.E. Schwab, Night of Knives. The third graphic novel is set to come out soon, so I’m hoping to read that soon as well, although that won’t be this weekend.

Read a Book Set Somewhere You Wish You Could Go

For this challenge, I went with Unconventional by Maggie Harcourt, because I was so sad to see Comic Con was cancelled and I wish I could go. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time, so I’m excited to finally get around to it!

Read a Book That Will Make You Smile

The last book I chose is my ARC of Love Is For Losers by Wibke Brueggeman. This book isn’t out yet, but I’ve heard it’s really funny, so it seemed perfect for this prompt. I’ve been reading a lot of funny books lately because it really helps me take my mind off things.

Are you participating in this readathon?

If you order books through the links in this post, I’ll make a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps me review more books and host more giveaways, so I’d be very grateful if you used it!
