October TBR

I planned my TBR for October very meticulously, because I want to participate in a readathon, but read as many spooky books as I can as well! Because of that, my TBR is divided in two parts: my TBR for The Ace Race, and my TBR of spooky books and thrillers.

The Ace Race

For The Ace Race, the goal is to read books with main characters who are on the asexual spectrum. There are prompts as well, but I don’t want to pressure myself too much and I wasn’t able to buy any new books for this readathon (except for two cheap ebooks), so I’m just reading the books with ace rep that I own! Here’s what I’m hoping to read:

  • Darcie Little Badger – Elatsoe
  • Tara Sim – Scavenge the Stars
  • Anna Kirchner – Little Black Bird
  • Danika Stone – Switchback
  • Katherine Locke – The Spy With the Red Balloon
  • N.R. Walker – Upside Down
  • Corinne Duyvis – The Art of Saving the World
  • Erin Kinsella – Heart & Seoul
  • Jae – Perfect Rhythm
  • Angela Chen – Ace

Spooky Books

Then I’m hoping to read some spooky books and thrillers as well, because I had a lot of fun doing that last year in October! Here’s what I’m hoping to read:

  • Marieke Nijkamp – Even If We Break
  • Isabel Sterling – These Witches Don’t Burn
  • Caleb Roehrig – The Fell of Dark
  • Tamsyn Muir – Gideon the Ninth
  • M.L. Rio – If We Were Villains
  • Nina Lacour – Watch Over Me
  • Wendy Heard – She’s Too Pretty To Burn
  • Hannah Abigail Clarke – The Scapegracers
  • Kiran Millwood Hargrave – The Deathless Girls
  • Hal Schrieve – Out of Salem

I’m very excited for all of these! What are you hoping to read in October?
