Time for another autumnal book tag! Have you checked out my previous one as well?
My friend Michelle @ Michelle Likes Things tagged me to do the autumn book tag she created herself, and it looked really fun, so I’m just doing yet another autumn book tag.
Oh, and I decided to choose only LGBTQ+ books for the prompts!
SWEATER WEATHER – A COMFY READ
If you’re looking for a perfect cosy read for autumn, I would very much recommend Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell & Faith Erin Hicks, which is a really cute and atmospheric graphic novel full of autumn vibes.
AUTUMN COLOURS – A BOOK WITH AN ORANGE/RED/YELLOW COVER
One of my absolute favourite reads of the year has been Pulp by Robin Talley, which is a fantastic YA historical fiction about lesbian pulp novels, following the author of one of those books in the 1950s and a student researching them in the current day. You can find my full review here!
HALLOWEEN HORROR – A SCARY BOOK
How could I choose anything other than Wilder Girls by Rory Power? I’m not even the biggest horror fan, but this book is so gorgeously written, and it’s the perfect October read.
MONSTERS OF THE NIGHT – FAVOURITE VILLAIN
I recently reread Nimona by Noelle Stevenson, which is also a perfect book to read around this time of year, and not only does it have the best villain ever, it also explores what makes someone a hero or a villain.
AUTUMN RAIN – BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
The most recent book that made me cry, is Don’t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno. This was an incredibly heartwarming read, and it was cute and comforting for the most part, but there’s also storylines about diaspora and about the importance of family, and those were pretty emotional. I know it might not be too autumnal, but I’d very much recommend this book.
TRICK OR TREAT! – CUTE CONTEMPORARY
One of my favourite cute contemporaries of the year is definitely Jen Wilde’s latest book, Going Off Script. Jen Wilde is one of my absolute favourite contemporary authors, and she really didn’t disappoint with this one.
PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE – MOST ANTICIPATED AUTUMN BOOK
THE STARLESS SEA!!! Really, I cannot wait to hold this book in my hands. I’m beyond excited.
Like last time, I’m not tagging anyone specifically, but consider yourselves invited to do this tag as well! If you do, make sure to link back to this post so I can see your post 🙂
If you order books through the links in this post, I’ll make a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps me review more books and host more giveaways, so I’d be very grateful if you used it!
Great tag, I loved Pulp when I read it at the beginning of the year 👻💜

I love that you did this with all LGBTQ+ novels! I didn’t realize The Starless Sea was LGBTQ+! That makes me even more excited to read it. I don’t think I realized Rosa Santos was either now that I think about it.

I was halfway through answering the questions and realized I’d only used LGBTQ+ books, so I thought I might as well dedicate the whole post to them!
I’ve heard The Starless Sea has an m/m romance! I think the MC is gay, but I’m not 100% sure. It has me even more excited for the book than I already was as well! Rosa Santos has a bisexual MC😊
